"To be a gardener, you have to be an optimist" said Sandy today, while giving a lesson on starting seeds, and it was clear we have a large group of optimistic gardeners here in Tahsis. Over a dozen people were in the shop today finishing 10 beautiful sturdy tabletop beds. After that job, there was a communal lunch, and some people went home and others joined us for a very informative lesson on starting plants from seed. It's such a positive experience, to be learning and sharing information with each other as we plan for an exciting spring and summer.Thank you everyone who was involved today, your hard work and optimism are priceless.

I hope you are a lot wiser nowafter Sandra's presentation on "Starting from Seed". I know I sure learned a lot, and what a great way to recycle those plastic bottles and plastic bags. Who knew we had so many knowledgeable people living in our community!
The shelving is here for the green house:) it will be up just in time. Now is the time to be thinking about your seed purchases. Don't forget to use that handy planting chart. Thanks again everyone.
