Despite the dreary grey weather, the gardeners I have spoken to recently are cheerfully using this time of year to plan and thumb through all those seed catalogues. After a little walk around with a short friend, I am pleased to report that a few green shoots are bravely popping up in the Tahsis Community Garden! Specifically the schoolkids' garlic and flower bulbs, planted last fall! It's a good sign!
Love the shot of your short friend! I snipped some garlic scapes this afternoon to add to an Indian green bean dish - and found some crocus buds. So there you have it - Spring is coming! ;0)
