VIHA announcement

Photo: Jani and Caryl from VIHA
Last night a public meeting was held to review the results of the survey done in the winter. Also at the meeting, VIHA representatives announced that Tahsis has received a grant of $25,000.00 from the provincial government for the Produce Availability in Remote Communities Initiative to use in the production of local food. This money will cover most of the costs of establishing a community garden (beds, shed, fence etc.) and will build a greenhouse for year round production.
