Vesey's Bulbs & Seeds Fundraiser

Update:  order was in Victoria last night, so hopefully in Tahsis with the Monday (May 9) morning mail truck!

Thank you to all members of the garden and the community of Tahsis who placed an order for our Spring Fundraising Program with Vesey's.  The order is shipping out today, so should be in Tahsis next week.

The Society will be offering the program again for fall planted Spring blooming bulbs.  Special thanks to Treasurer Sharon for her work on this fundraiser.

Market Garden Stand

Brenda L. is interested in the idea of a Tahsis Garden Market stand. There is one in Sointula. It is sort of a self-serve farmers' market. May be a place to get rid of excess produce from the garden or things you've had to thin. The one in Sointula had potted tulips, rhubarb, greens, eggs. They have a Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/604777939640889/?fref=nf

New Numbers

Thanks to Jason K. the garden has a new numbering system. HUGE numbers make them readable clear across the garden.

Mason Bees

As of Wednesday, April 20, half of the mason bees have left the hive. I heard one buzzing in the holly tree above me.
